hi everyone, iv'e just bottled for the first time coopers irish stout, it didn't go to well had no bottling stick so used a short piece of pipe this fell into one bottle, cut another piece all went well untill i got to the end. I unplugged the immersion type heater well before the bottling process and when i pulled it out at the end it must have burnt out the end was black and a shard of glass was missing :x . I can't really gamble giving somebody a bottle not knowing if it contains glass so looks like it's down the sink really gutted looking forward to testing it in a few weeks as well,

regards

derek

So don't give any away, and pour it through a tea strainer if it really bothers you.

It's unfortunate, but any glass should have been left behind in the bucket with the sediment.

hi moley,

tea strainer didn't think of that one cheers, will have to refuse request of a bottle from family members then due to health and saftey etc :D seem to get more visits since i started brewing.
