first taste

just had m8 first taste of my home brew
it was in the bucket for 6 days
then i put it in 5lt bottles for about 2 weeks

but

its still very cloudy
has little taste
and not alot of gas

should i leave it for another week ??

ok first pint was hardly something to tickle the taste buds
but it seems quite strong

just poured a second pint .... :twisted:

what did u brew?
i usually leave it in the FV for 2 weeks to give it time to clear. did u prime the bottles with sugar when bottling?

i done a youngs homebrew kit ( larger )

and yes i put 1tbs of brown caster sugar per pint into the bottles

5 litre bottles? your better using 1 litre or 500ml.

If you put 1tbsp of sugar per pint bottle then tou will have a t the best stupidly fizzy lager and at worst you will have 5l bottles shaped like balloons :shock:
The reason it's not ready is that you have probably over primed and it's still happily fermenting

now that you have had a drink of it it will still be fermenting in your belly and you might end up exploding

yes i used 5lt bottles ... was the only thing i had at the time

yes they were alittle like baloons .... but not alot of fizz to the beer

still fermenting ? omg how much stronger can this get lol

exploding .. well i might after another pint or 2 :drunk:


might have to rethink my next brew
id like to have a honey beer going soon :drink:
