Hi everyone I've just bought a coopers micro brew kit and am about to embark on my first ever batch! Got the Mexican cerveza kit to try next as well. No doubt I'll have a few questions over the next few weeks

nice one man, good luck with it.coopers kits are probably the most popular so ask away on the forum as everyone will have been in your shoes at some stage!

Good luck Tony , I just started my first kit too, last Tuesday. Am intrigued to see how it comes out. Am going to do a lager as soon as this lot finishes fermenting.

Good luck fella, my first cerveza kit is bubbling like a bugger downstairs, crazy bubbling going on !!

As long as you have some foamy head forming, known as Krausen, tht means it is fermenting fine.

Don't worry about whether or not your Airlock is bubbling, finding a fermenting bin that is actually airtight is very rare.

A lot of people don't bother with airlocks at all, I don't as my fermenters are far from airtight.

Bungo, get a coopers kit on, drinking my youngs harvest now and the coopers lager is nicer without doubt imo... not that there is anything wrong with the harvest (cheaper too)

gonna try a youngs harvest with spray malt to enhance and see what that does next :)
