These are the recipes for my virgin brews
Recipe 1 Nettle Beer with ginger
approx 500g young nettle tops piece of fresh ginger
boil for an hour in 5 lts water
strain
cool
add
1g ale yeast
set down for 3 days before bottling
Brew 2
Nettle beer with citrus
approx 500g young nettle tops
boil for an hour in 5 ltrs water
strain
return to pan
add juices of 1 lemon 1 orange
let cool add 5g of cream of tarter
cool further (over night)
add 2 g of ale yeast
set down for 3 days then bottle
These are very experimental as all recipes I found were very vague on quantities.
I am am the setting down stage and due to bottle on tomorrow.
