Well a pleasant suprise i bottled my first lager kit last week and today i was going to transfer the bottles to the caravan for storage. Well being a bit curious i had to have a sample. So bare in mind it hadn't been chilled and has only been in the bottle a week i just had to sample it and i am very pleased to say it was very nice so what it will be like christmas i cannot wait to find out, and i will put some up till next summer it should be great by then, The kit is a cheap youngs lager kit

I bottled the same kit on Thursday night. Had a little taste but couldn't of drunk much of it how it was, just hope it improves

Was yours quite pale when you bottled it? Mine was almost clear, looked a bit watery. Hope I've not balls'd it up

To be fair i though mine looked a bit cloudy, but today it was clear, it is my first beer kit and the advice on here says it gets better after a few weeks in the bottle. Taste was a bit strong but i am hoping that it mellows down a bit with age. That said i have had worse over the counter at some pubs so all in all so far i am happy with it. The lady at the shop says it is one of her best sellers
