First brew bottling complete but.....

I have a few "bits" floating about in each bottle. I decided to transfer to a secondary vessel as this seemed a better idea than adding my priming sugar solution to the demijohn and risk disturbing all the "trub" at the bottom so the priming sugar could mix with the beer.

I transferred through a fine mesh sieve and a sanitised muslin sock which was placed into the sieve but still managed to get a few bits of crap in each bottle.

Is there an easier way to do this?

It'll be fine mate, the bits should drop out while you condition the bottles. Refrigeration will help.

I transfer to a bottling bucket too, adding the beer to the priming solution. I use these guys to help filter the sediment, might be worth adding to your tool kit:

If you have the means to chill your FV before transfer, that promotes settling of particles in the beer.

After you've done a few bottling days you'll get better at leaving the trub behind, don't be afraid to loose a little beer to keep the trub back your beer will thank you :)
