Well the call of the dark side was too strong to resist!
Been a long day. Started at 12 midday and just finished cleaning the kitchen at 10pm. Got 20.5 litres at an original gravity of 1.048 which was not far off my target of 23 litres at 1.049. Used the maxi-biab method and must say it went pretty smoothly  . Planning a sierra nevada pale ale next using pilsner malt and Perle and Cascade hops. Can't wait to tuck into my first all grain brew!

Thanks everyone. I'm sure it will get quicker and maybe next time I'll have time to take pictures! ;)
Here's one of said brew trying to escape from the fv. :nono:

Just cracked open first bottle and it has a strange taste. Tastes bit like a sharp wheat beer. It hasn't had long in cool place as I've been in England for a month and left the beer in the living room. I'm hoping it'll improve with age. It's in the cellar now which is about 10 degrees. Fingers crossed.

How was it in the end?

Just kegged this one myself it tasted quite nice from the hydrometer tube....
