filtering beer

a few years ago i bought beer from bath ales for parties and they filter if you want to make it a bright beer and drinkable straight away, can this be done at home with homebrew? i have brewed for a few years now and always wondered if this can be done at home? wouldnt this detract from the body of the beer but would still like to know if anyone does it.

You can filter your beer but you'll have to force carbonate rather than prime it.
