Got a beer in the FV at the moment - it was brewed last sunday so it's a week in so far.
I'm hoping to get a couple of cornies this week and wondered what process for filling with bright beer you guys follow? I figure you really don't want any yeast or other bits and pieces going into the keg really as the pipe pulls the beer from the very bottom unlike my plastic kegs which have a inch or two space at the bottom for sediment to collect.
I was thinking of just leaving it in the primary, adding finings to the primary and racking straight into the corny next weekend via a racking bucket.
Or am I better to shift to a secondary and addings finings there for a few days before I rack to the keg?
Thanks!!!
It's an american pale ale by the way, if that makes any difference.
