Ive just read a post where a Brewer (sorry, can't remember posters name) got a fg of 1002. I've never had one below 1010. I normally get an OG of say 1048 to 1052 maybe a tad higher sometimes. Can i ferment below 1010 from that high? If yes, How?

It was chassyp, asking whether to fine or not to fine.

I've never had an FG that low. Even from a budget kit brewed with ordinary sugar I think the lowest I got was about 1.005, then I started adding spraymalts and FGs crept up around 1.008, then I crossed over to the dark side.

You could lower your mash temp. or look for that “dry beer enzyme” I''ve seen mentioned, but I would suspect that chassyp's hydrometer might be a bit out.

Interesting!

I think its a combination of using some adjuncts, such as suger, mashig at a slighlty lower temp and using lots of highly attenuating yeast...

This page from Palmers book talks about OG & FGs and is quite interesting...

Then theres a bit of chat here about a big American IPA, which has a low FG (for a big beer).

Still, I would have thought it would be quite hard to get down to 1.002
