Hi All

I did a coopers Stout kit 2 weeks ago, brew enhancement pack and some Danstar Windsor Yeast and I've got some readings of 1.018. Not sure if it's ready/almost ready/give it a week.

I know i'm probably jumping the gun and the key is patience but I've read on a few sites that stouts, due to being a bit sweeter, will not drop as low as other beers.

The reason why i'm asking is because i don't want to keeping taking daily readings as i'd rather not lose a pint over the next week haha.

Any body had any experience with this? or shall i just give it another reading in a week.

Thanks,

That does make sense as the og Was a bit higher than I was expecting. It was 1.062. So I'm siding on seeing if there are any changes over the next couple of days and then bottling up

1062 to 1018 is about 70% attenuation so I think you're probably ok!

Thanks so much for the help. Im glad I checked because I was waiting for a much lower reading before bottling.

Happy days. Looks like ill be drinking some stout in no time
