I'm just after a bit of confirmation about bottling my cider.

So the SG on my batch has stopped falling. I've added Campden Tablets. only I'm not too clear about the process and why I read abouting leaving it for a few week before bottling. Though I may be misunderstanding something. The cider should start to clear right? Are there any indicators to say when I should or shouldn't bottle it?

Thanks in advance.

if it has stoped fermenting which i guess it has, by the fact you have add ct's, rack the cider off into another fv and leave it to stand until its cleared. this really helps improve the flavor as well, once it has cleared and thrown another cediment rack it again and then bottle it, you can filter it but as its a cider i would not bother, can take 2-4 weeks for it to clear.

Thanks. By FV, I'm guessing you mean Fermentation Vessel?

Unfortuneatly, I haven't had time to rack the cider, so it's been in the barrel for a week since adding the CTs.

I only have 1 barrel so I siphoned it off into a (sterilised) bucket, then rinsed the barrel, and siphoned all the cider back into it using a funnel that has a gauze - it's a oil funnel that I bought from a car accessories shop. I've caught about 1/2l worth of pulp. I know you said not to filter it but it's all I had. Is this about right? Assuming i've done the right thing.
