hi all
I started a youngs definate lager kit 12 days ago and wanted to bottle it tonight, it says in the instructions that fermenting will take between 4 and 8 days normally. No i realize that i really should have a hydrometer to check reading etc but i have never really used one before as i tend to look at the bubble activity in the airlock as a guide. Anyways i went to bottle it tonight when i seen that roughly once every 90 seconds or so it did bubble, and when i took the lid of the FV i noticed some little bubbles still on the surface of the lager, not many but some.
is this still fermenting? or would you always get a bubble in the airlock every 90 seconds - 2 minutes??
Should i wait or is it safe enough to put in bottles do you think?
Thanks all
Chris
