hi all the fermenting is over ive transferred to plastic keg for second ferment added a cup of sugar and left it on a concrete floor to clear.how long should i leave it for and when cleared can i stand :thumb: it in a chest freezer to chill will this spoil in in any way thanks

I used to add priming sugard to the keg and keep it at fermenting temp (18 - 22) for a week then transfer it to a fridge at 2 or 3 c for a week then move it (carefully) to its serving location.

I'm assuming that the chest freezer is just that, a none-converted freezer - in which case i'm not sure what effect taking the beer close to freezing will have - i've never done it.

It does, but it's disgusting. The idea is to take a simple mix to around 23% for use in liquers or dodgy home stills - and once ferm's finished, you add a pile of charcoal to neutralise bad flavours.
