fermenting or not

Yesterday I pitched the yeast and nutrient in to my blackberry wine, which is in a fermenting bin, but now 24 hours later there is still no sign of fermentation, could any one tell me if it should bubble in the same way that beer does? thanks.
 
I'd have expected some sign of life by now if you have it at the right temp, not a wine maker so sure someone will be along soon to pitch in :thumb:
 
If you added a pectin enzyme that can inhibit the yeast.
It should be showing signs of active fermentation after 48 hours though :thumb:
The fruit will float to the surface and will need to be pushed under daily :)
