Anyone know of any fermentation vessels that would fit in a under counter fridge?
I have just aquired an old fridge to modify with a thermostat so hopefully I can brew ferment & condition in cooler more controlled conditions. However the fermentation bins I have seen are too wide to fit inside so wondering if knows any that would fit as I suspect I am not the only person using a fridge for this.

I knew someone would ask that! I'll have to measure the inside of the fridge though I guess they are all similar, depending on insulation thickness.

I picked up a standard under the counter type fridge off freecycle and my 33L F.V. fits in there no prob without butchering the inside of the door or anything. :thumb:

I'm surprised you're having difficulty. :(

Well, I haven't tried to fit it in yet (not had time yet), but by eye last night it looked unlikely. I will try it tonight, it would be good news if it does fit

One problem you may have is if the fridge has an ice box at the top, which will take up valuable space
If it does, take off the ice box compartment door (if it has one), and bend the cooling plate up to the roof...should be o.k.

Well, I'm in luck, the 25L fermentation bin I have just fits :thumb: The temp control knob nearly gets in the way, but not quite. My pilsner is in there now to lager for a while.
Just need to rig up a better temp control system now, and make the door seal a touch better.
At least the next time I do a lager I can use the correct yeast and temperature.

I have a bar fridge in my garage,
It doesn't fit my standard fermenter with an airlock in place.
But, it fits if I cover the top of the fermenter with clingwrap, or if I use a blowoff tube when I fit a lid.

As for temperature control, I use a TempMate from CraftBrewer. Brilliant piece of equipment.
