Ok - how do I stop the water being sucked out of the container from my blow off tube on my chronical when cold crashing?

Also it just sucked up about 1/2 liter of water from the blow off - will my beer be ok? Thoughts please :-)

Cheers

Chris

can you not replace the blow off tube with a normal bubble airlock thing just before you cold crash? (maybe with cotton wool on the air end to try to stop bug getting in.

Is there no way with the chronical of slightly pressurising with CO2? I see that you use corny kegs, so you should have at least some of the equipment required.

Alternatively, during the last day or so of fermentation (before you cold crash), close off the valve to the blow-off tube. This will produce a positive pressure in the vessel which the cold crashing will reduce, but not completely overcome (hopefully!).
