Has anyone looked at building a fermentation fridge and insulating it rather than using a refrigerator?

Just wondering if this a cheaper and more practical option, especially when using a large FV?

I' m sure I've seen this discussed n an earlier post but it was referred to as a Fermentation cupboard, straight forward enough to build one. A refrigerator is more versatile if you get yourself a temp controller using one of Cedaronics STC1000 units or again build one yourself, there are a couple of "How to's" on here. Doing this offers you the direct control to enable you to properly brew Lagers at around 7 - 10 *C with a lagering period at 2*C which is difficult to do without that control.
