Hi All,

I have a query hopefully you’ll be able to help me out with.

I brewed a Landlord clone on the 31st of January and I’m getting ready to bottle. The FG was supposed to be 1.010 but it has been at 1.014 for the last three days in a row. I did miss my OG - I was 1.050 and should have been 1.045.

Airlock activity has slowed right down to around eight bubbles every five minutes.

I’m not sure if it’s ready to bottle, should I wait for the FG to drop or the airlock activity to stop? Any advice is much appreciated.

I would guess if it’s been the same reading for three days, it’s done. Has the temperature been stable? I did a brew same time as you and checked the reading yesterday, was 1.02. It was fermenting in the kitchen near back door so temperature has been varied. I had another beer in the brew fridge, so I swapped the beers over, going to give it 3 days and if reading the same cold crash and bottle

The temperature has been between 18 degrees and 23. I don’t have a brew fridge, so at the moment the FV is in a cupboard wrapped in some sleeping bags.

I’m guessing it’s done, wouldn’t worry too much about the slight difference in reading, wouldn’t think it would affect taste too much. Ive had a beer that didn’t drop past 1.02 it was still good just slightly sweater

@steve123 cheers. I’ll bottle it and see how we get on. I’ve had a taste and was pleasantly surprised how much it tasted like the real thing.

Thanks again
