I use a co2 tank and do both. I use a splitter and pressurise the FS and then the co2 to flush the bottle.

You can carbonate naturally with priming each bottle of you want. Or you can carbonate in the FS and then just bottle from there.

Will it hold enough pressure for lagers? I am quite happy to carb in the keg though as long as i can do closed transfers. I mailed Angel and they told me they should be able to order then in a month or so more waiting i am afraid.

Yeah it will easily do that. I think the safety release is rated to about 2.2bar which is more than enough. Hell you can carb in it (using the Co2 created by fermentation if you have a spunding valve) and then serve direct from it if you want.

But i close transfer everything from my FS to the cornie these days and the co o2 exposure has made a massive difference in long term quality and stability of my beers.

Probably a stupid question, but if you were to ferment under pressure I assume you're going to need to add CO2 in to the fermenter, or can you use the gas given off by the yeast to partially carb the beer?
You can fully carb your beer with it if you have an adjustable spunding valve on the gas out port.
