I realize this post is, literally, one year later, but I've been listening to Ben Folds to an extreme degree and continue to get a lot of the nuance. he's brilliant.

Yeah he’s a big hero of mine, and one of the few artists that my wife and I both love (our son is even called Ben; our daughter is Grace and I have lyrics to “Gracie” tattooed on my arm for her). Seen him live a few times but the one-off intimate show 2 years ago, just him and his piano was by far the best.
