Following on from the bread machine thread earlier, a friend of mine, Tom, who sparked my passion for making bread has his premier on channel 4 tonight!!!

I've recorded that to watch later. Made 2 loaves now and the wife came back from the shops and said "I've bought you some more flower." She seems to like it. It's still not light and fluffy yet though.

If you're making by hand, work the dough a bit longer, look at the finished dough where the lad does the thumb test :thumb:

Watched the show this afternoon and really enjoyed it. Tried the recipe afterwards and it certainly mixed better, it's much less water than I was using before. Haven't tried the loaf yet so fingers crossed. And I forgot to personalise it with my own cuts.
