Too many changes has unsettled the team it was a competitive game last week no reason this shouldn't have been the same, why switch goal keepers if the number one isn't injured that was ******* embarrassing.

If we play like this against Real Madrid a week on Tuesday we will be in all kinds of trouble.

Man City apologise to Liverpool for fan chanting over Hillsborough tribute

Manchester City have apologised after chanting from some fans disturbed a minute's silence marking the 33rd anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

The silence, before Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool at Wembley, had to be cut short by referee Michael Oliver.

"Manchester City are extremely disappointed with the actions of some City supporters during the minute's silence before today's game," a club spokesperson said.

"The club sincerely apologises to all those connected with Liverpool Football Club."

There were boos from Liverpool fans as Oliver cut short the tribute.

Ninety-seven Liverpool fans lost their lives as a result of a crush at an FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest, at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough stadium, on 15 April 1989.

It remains the UK's worst sporting disaster, with a jury at an inquest later ruling that they were unlawfully killed.

I was shocked when I saw the starting 11. I was even more shocked when the same starting 11 come out at half time! I'm not a City fan but it does seem they are a team that copes brilliantly in league football but terribly when under any real pressure. Hence not winning the CL against a poor Chelsea, getting knocked out by Tottenham, the performance today. Even in the league when Liverpool won, they never managed to get going once they fell behind it was as if the team collapsed. You can't blame these things entirely on missing certain players because even the bench at City dwarfs most teams entire squad in value. I believe this season when Liverpool went ahead for a day after being 14 points behind will have knocked their confidence and that is why they didn't manage to finish off Athletico.

The biggest **** up they made was not signing Kane i know the haters will say with that much money in the team you don't need him but i think if we had bought Kane we would have won more games.

I'm not sure how Pep would alter the way City play with a key striker. If you have a team that is trying to utilise a player like Kane or Haaland then you lose the cutting edge elsewhere. The reason Liverpool have been successful lately is because there is about 7 people who seem to be responsible for scoring goals in the squad. That way its impossible for teams to nullify all attacking options. If they had a main striker then by other teams man marking him out of the game then you have to constantly change tactics. If City had Kane then would that mean other attacking players would put more effort into helping him score. I think Spurs are a better team when Kane is not the main man. Look at the champions league a few years back. Without him in the team you had multiple players who all shared the goal scoring. He come back for the final and the team suffered. Its the same with Chelsea this season when they signed Lukaku. They play better and score more without him. United this year compared to last year with Ronaldo. When teams have a main goal scorer they never seem to do better in the premier league. I think that is why Pep didnt utilise Aguero as much. Everyone knows what a talent he was but would you say you scored more with him in Peps teams?
