Hoping for some help, I have found a grain recipe for a clone Leffe brown but don't have the kit or ability yet to AG brew.
So was wondering if there is a formulae for substituting DME for the grain, is it as easy as just weight for weight ?
Would like to make this & share the recipe.

Most of the places I've read about this state that you multiply the base malt by .6, which gives you the amount of DME you'll need.

:D Thanks for the info n link loads of stuff to fill my head with.
Update on the abbey-going nicely no longer a threat to lining room decoration. Although next time will just make 9L at a time, incredible kraust took me by surprise.

Thanks again, give us a shout if interested in the leffe brown clone.
