Extract brewing: dry or syrup?

I have done only one so far last weekend, but I can say I used dried malt extract and there was nothing difficult about it, just some stirring was all that was required.

I followed the HowTo and did the Stout recipe that is there so you find all the details there.

That has dropped to 1014 when I checked today and any fears that I may not have got the process right were dispelled when I had to dispose of the sample jar. Definitely stout, definitely tasty and going by this sample I am looking forward to trying it when conditioned.
