Hello Forum,

At the begining of the month I invited a mate round to join me in starting a batch of brupaks microbrewery series birkby bitter 4%.

I added 500g of malt spray and i took a reading of 1.052  very happy with that

When it came to stir the wort before adding the yeast I had to take a phone call and asked my mate to do the stiring
when i got back he said he had been doing it like mad all the time i was on the phone. :wha:

Now i know every fermentation is different but 16 days and its still going.
Im going to take a gravity reading later tonight to see where im at and ill post it.

The question is did he really stir the wort or did he just stand there drinking a previous batch of 6.5% ale brought out
for the occasion ?

Feel free to vote on this one

I've got a Woodforde's Nelson's revenge in the FV at the moment, which is still bubbling the airlock after 14 days  And yes, I stirred the wort, so much in fact, that I had a good 4-inch froth on top, before I pitched the yeast and the room temp is around 19C.

Funnily enough, the Admiral's reserve kept bubbling for 11 days, whereas the Wherry was done in 4 days.
