Just bottled my AG raspberry stout but lost about 1.5L from a 5L batch to trub. The two djs in the picture are a stout to which I added 1Kg spray malt after the boil, the other (empty) one had no spray malt at all. I would have expected the first to produce more trub but the opposite has happened. Is excess trub normal with darker beers or is something else going on?
