Another "light" beer; an APA I have a thread about on here, then it's a couple of dark beers after that. I seem to have inadvertently got in to a pattern of 2 lights, 2 darks, 2 lights... May as well keep it going.

Got a Wyeast 1469 starter for A Theakstons bitter with added styrian goldings dryhops and then on to a Centennial brown ale as per Clibbits recipe on here!

Thinking of doing a fraoch next, although I haven't developed a recipe yet. I think Cwrw666 has done one so I'll have to have a search for the thread for inspiration.

Just bottled an ' ordinary' bitter extract brew and went on to do another hoppy Bramling x, Cascade and Amarillo) IPA, 6 litre extract this afternoon:thumb:

Today I done an ESB based on Greg Hughes.. it wasn't exactly like gregs but mostly the same..a few changes to times qtys and I used Shepherds Neame yeast

Finally getting my Citra/Mosaic IPA on this weekend.

Been saving it for the summer. I'm hoping summer will actually arrive by the time it's ready.

I'm thinking of a single hop JESTER pale :) heard good things about the Jester hop.

Cheers
Jay

I'll be interested to hear how that turns out if you do it, I've just ordered some jester hops and was planning on a pale/IPA.

Will do, probably wont get chance for a couple of weeks, just tried planning a recipe on beersmith but jester hops are not on it yet!
Will have a look on the net and see what others have done.

Jay :)

I seem to have a load of Roast Barley and Crystal, so planning a Dry-ish Stout with 400-500g RB and 100-150g Crystal.

A kit for me...
St Peters Golden Ale...lovely last time
Hoping for a hot summer now

Got a Kolsch style beer fermenting, which will tie up the brew fridge for another five weeks or so.

After that, I have malt, hops & yeast for a Fraoche (heather ale), Koyte (Historic beer), Mild Ale and a Trippel. Order depends on when my King Keg (mild) empties and when the heather flowers come out.

Just finished my 51 batch. Nothing special but I got some saaz hops.... And those don't come around Japan much.
14 liters,
2.5 kg Pilsner
1 kg Munich

Hops,
28 g northern brewer @60
20 g Saaz @ 8
15 g Saaz @ 80 degree wort for 20 min.

Ran it through the chiller into two FV. On this batch, I started to use an air pump to add oxygen. Has anyone done this? I started it and heard it takes like 10 min. to get enough oxygen in. So I went about the most enjoyable part of brewing, cleaning. After only a few minutes had a look and my kitchen was being consumed by a mountain of foam!! How do I stop that????
