hello everyone

my name is Keith, 41, live and work in Stoke on Trent and have been "into" brewing for just over a year.

my favourite things in life ( edible) are real ales, old fashioned country still cloudy cider and curry.....I usually manage to combine these with one of my other passions which is camping in my VW camper. ( I have met some very interesting people whilst "combining"

so far I reckon i have done about 10 brews....(slowed a litlle in the summer...but I now have a couple readying for xmas.

favourites so far

muntons imperial stout
John Thompson XXX
....and for something a little lighter
cooper canadian blonde.

yet to find a really good cider yet .....did a black rock...left out the sugar for secondary ferment ??? to brew it flat...managed to drink it all :) but it was no Westons Vintage.

cheers all

Working in Stoke I trust you have frequented the "hole in the wall" for the odd dozen oatcakes

Another VW camper owner, what you got? 1974 RHD Westy down here in Essex. :D

1989 Westy Joker LHD...my pride and joy :thumb:

started off with the intention of heavy dark beers...Stouts,porters old english bitters....

but whilst I still like them I have developed a taste for strong but light beers...did a summer ale (?) this time round which has proven to be just the ticket.

any recommendations for good pale / blonde but strong beers ...welcomed

cheers

I once had a T25 transporter with the South African lights and 3.5L Audi TDI plant somone had shoe-horned in the black.
On those rare days when it actually worked I swear it would do wheelies!
