so its easy to avoid football if its not your thing
I disagree. It's as pervasive and hard to avoid as Eurovision is. Except every week. The FA cup final gets the same amount of press as Eurovision does every year. Plus the other cup final. Then there are the European cups. And then the euros and world cup that get far more coverage than Eurovision does, but that lasts 2-3 weeks (admittedly every other year rather than every year). And at least Eurovision changes it's song every year, rather than having the lions everywhere you go for a month 😂

I find if you avoid the BBC TV and radio, there has relatively little coverage of Eurovision. I haven't noticed much about it this year as a result

Football is the most popular sport with 3.5 billion fans so i guess stations feel they have to include a certain amount of football news in their daily schedule to keep up with the Joneses.

I find it quite amusing when someone comes into work and has a foul temper for days because a football team lost.
I've also had people rabbiting on about football to me even after being told I don't like, watch or understand the game!

I support Manchester City back in the day when the only thing we were really good at was losing there wasn't much point in getting angry losing was expected. :D

I never got football at all until i started to play for a pub team in my mid twenties i wasn't very good but it was a good excuse for a Sunday afternoon session in the pub after the game and i got the football bug.

.

I'd rather watch Rainbow.
I have and will avoid it like the plague, second rate singers and politically rigged voting

I think our entry will do better than we normally do because we are hosting it not because it's a great song.

Considering that it should have been held in Ukraine and can't because it is at war for its very survival, this should b3 the most interesting Eurovision in its history

I have a feeling Sam Ryder didn't come second last year because he was the second best singer and i think this years entry will do a lot better than it would have a few years ago because we are hosting it not because its any better than most songs in the competition.
