Only prob was rusting discs. On first service dealer flagged as a red item. When I phoned back to say great it's still under warranty they changed their minds 😁 Handed back at end if contract without any problems.

BEVs at 25.3% of the UK market in February, up by over 40%, although the fact that the luxury car tax will kick in in April is probably flattering them a bit. Also notable that petrol-only is now below 50% for I think the first time, and not far off ICE-only being a minority.

Located between the cities of Inverness and Aberdeen, Europe's largest battery storage project is now operational.
The site, which absorbs excess wind power, is currently able to store 200 megawatts (MW) of electricity for two hours, increasing the capacity of operational battery storage in Scotland by more than 30%

By 2026, the site operator Zenobe aims to expand capacity to 300 MW, which will allow it to supply 3.1 million homes - more than every household in Scotland.

40 MW one ready to go online at Erskine as well visible when you come off the Erskine Bridge.

Slowly popping up and will make a ral difference shame they can only hold the energy for short periods tho

Only if you are anti EV!

We don't need to cover the planet with wind turbines that has already been covered in this thread there is enough capacity to cover the take-up of BEV we are not all going to switch to BEV in the next few years meaning we run out of electricity that just something the haters put out to worry those in two minds about switching early.

The next big thing will be energy storage meaning no need to park turbines as they do now this will help cover days when there is little or no wind also as the video shows new battery technology will play a massive part in how our energy production meets the demand.

Look at the batteries shown in the video you can bet they are not the only company coming up with alternatives to what we use today.

The only problem for 30% of us is we are going to have to rely on public chargers as we have no means of off street charging i will be pushing up daisies long before that becomes an issue for me ;)
