Ive just done a pre boil gravity check. 1.028

The grain bill
800grm marris
28grm roast barely
28grm crystal
Collected about 6 litre wort

How does this work for efficiency?

I used an online calculater popped in 7litre and got 88.75%

I get 73.3%. Not calculated from pre-boil gravity before. Used an online calculator.

Ive had a play with an online calculater. Adjusted for temp. Had to add a litre of water to bring it up to 5 litre. 63.3%. The gravity is 1.032 adjusted to 1.034.

Post boil? Only increased from 1028 to 1034? Boiled down from 7 to 4 litres? Is 1034 the 5 litre gravity?

Yes its the 5 litre reading. I got 6 litre of wort from mash and sparge.

OK I make your overall efficiency 63-64%, same as you. ABV should be around 3.5% once you have added priming sugar.
