I have just completed my 4th all grain brew all 20 l finished, the first went fine, a little short on volume but no problem ( beginners luck) ,but the second third and fourth I ended with a stuck sparge the first three were with a copper manifold with saw cuts ( which I might widen ) and the last the same manifold with a false bottom over the top ( 2mm holes 3mm pitch ).
Both of these methods work for others maybe not together as i just tried, but i am struggling so my question is regarding the grain Maris otter pale malt crushed and a little light crystal malt, could it be that the grain I have bought has too much dust and clogging the sparge or do I need to look at my technique ?
I have read up on sparging and the problems to avoid and feel I have a decent grasp of how to and how not to do things but it isn't working at the moment.
As a point of amusement I am brewing in may garage and the air compressor is really handy in clearing blockages although i have to wash the walls down when finished
