APOLOGIES BUT I HAVE HAD TO POSTPONE THIS BREWDAY

Brewday – Saturday 29th October
Dunfermline, Fife

I am hosting another brewday and social at my place in Dunfermline on the Saturday 29th October. Its intended to be a very informal occasion where we can get together for a blether, have a few beers and get a batch of beer on the go. Last year, despite the copious consumption of ale, we managed to brew 50l of Pale Ale that was eventually awarded Highly Commended at the National at Skipton - thereby disproving a well known proverb.

I hope to get mash on for midday so HLT will be going on around after 11am. I am not sure about the brew yet but I have a hankering to do a Heather Ale but it depends on me getting out and harvesting some from the local hills in July. Anyway I will communicate details of the final recipe nearer the time.

PM or contact me via email, phone, if you fancy coming along and I can give you my address and advise on public transport if required.

As always for our hobby, feel free to bring along some beer.

I would be up for it but I'm bloody working that day 8-4. The sunday would be ideal!

Thats unfortunate Abey. However if it is anything like last year we were still going at it into the evening.

Waste not, want not. The videne is recovered from the fermenter.

From boiler > pump > counter flow chiller > fermenter

That's all I have.

Thanks again to Callum for hosting a great day, and to his good Mrs for putting up with a bunch of beer fanatics tramping in and out of the house to use the facilities!

Geat time. Was nice to see a relaxed brew day. Mine are still quite frantic at the moment.

The beer seems like it won't be all that bad either
