has anyone dry hopped the 5 litre kegs you get from the stores? the access hole at the top is tiny so was wondering if anyone has done it, with a hop bag? i should imagine leaf might block the pouring tap, gonna do a few batches of pale ale and use the kegs i have and gonna try and dry hop ready for xmas

You can dry hop a kk with a weighted down hop sock do it very regular

I’ve thought about doing it a few times but never got round to it. I can’t inagine you’d need a great deal for a 5l keg, I was just going to use pellets and throw them in when I filled the keg. I’ll do it one of these days.

i have dry hopped a kk before but the 5 litre kegs have an access hole at the top which is roughly 15-20 mm across( not measured 1 properly yet!)
will a hop tea bag fit? dont fancy using loose leaf or pellets
