Having just finished my first brewkit and transfered to keg etc, i was wondering if theres any use for 'sludge' at the bottom of the fermenting vessel? This time i just cleaned it out and flushed down the toilet.

Alternatively, as long as you're sure that everything is sanitised, you can dump fresh wort on the top to save you pitching more yeast.

I use it for bread making instead of bread yeast it makes very tasty bread
