DOUBLE THE SUGAR ?

i was thinking of doing a coopers English bitter and using 1kg beer enhancer and 1kg of brewing sugar and maybe doing about 19 or 20 litres instead of 23, im trying to bump the abv up a bit, i would like it to finish about 6%abv do you think this would work, i would be very grateful for any advice.

in short no cuz in fact you will have 1.5kg of sugar and 500g of dme (enhancer is 50%sugar 50% dried malt extract) thus too much sugar , it would be strong but taste like crap instead use 500g of sugar and 1kg of dme imo
 
I would suggest just using two beer enhancers, 1.5kg sugar and 500g light spraymalt will dry it out proper.

At 4.5% made to instructions (1kg enhancer,) another 1kg would send it to 6.4% which I'm assuming is strong enough! you may want to go 800g of enhancer, then you can have the rest on hand for future brews/priming etc.

it works fine, the point in enhancer is to increase the abv without affecting the body or bitterness of the beer. With the quantities above I don't think brewing short is neccessary!
