My mate Matt (nice alliteration there) came over today to brew using my gear. This was his second and third AG beers. We did a California Common and an Oatmeal stout. Started at around 8:30am and finished up around 4:00pm. There was lunch and a few beers in there so we probably could have pulled the time in a bit. Was an awesome day though. Only cockup was a frozen chiller line which I fixed via hacksaw. ;-)

Pics of our epic day. Apologies for the number. We had a LONG day!!!

Top quality post as always mate thanks for the recipes earlier. Hope you can make the forum bash.

Brilliant Baz; love the steam; enjoy your night, what's the Guinness like? :drink:

Looks like you both had a really good day :thumb:

The only person I've had brew day with me was my Father inlaw and he just tutted about the state I keep my tools in

I found the Oatmeal Stout from NorthernBrewer's website here. We altered that recipe a bit however tweaking the hop additions, 1 oz of Target at 60 minutes and .5 oz of Kent Goldings at 0.

I am prepping for bottling the stout tomorrow morning. I am hoping that comes out alright as I had a little mix up when I stored the two brews. I accidentally stored the stout at about 55 degrees (F) instead of the common. My gravity is at 1.012 tonight. Should be good tho.

Truly outstanding post ph!

Fantasti pics and what scenery!

I'm planning on doing an oatmeal stout next weekend (if the yeast arrives in time), what was your recipe? I'll post mine a bit later.

Hey Baz - missed this post but glad I caught it :D Great looking brewday - what is the beer in the reward drink? Great glasses is it something belgium like? or something scottish :hmm:

:drink:

Hope there's some left after celebrating the Packers victory last night :drink: :drink:
