Just thought I'd share a brewing experience I'll never forget.

Be very aware when brewing and enjoy it you should but don't take your eye off the BOILING wort ..

Whoah Nasty! I've only just come across this thread as I've read all the other stuff, should have read this first.... Thanks for posting and I really do wish you a speedy recovery. There is something about boiling sweet water as I remember from a child when boiling sugar to make toffee, never had any accidents but my Mother and Grandmother were very nervous about doing this.

Well mended bar having sensitive new skin but no permanent damage except for scarring.
I got away lucky but if it had spilled elsewhere I know the result would have catastrophic.

I would just like to say a big thank you for all your concerns and well wishes and cheers to you all as I'm well mended and back to full use so shall have to get the brewhouse back in order...
