...... it realy is anoying theres no need for dogs fouling

but they'd burst otherwise!!

My dog has a habit of pooing in driveways. Slap bang right in the middle of the gate, its quite embarrassing. I do always pick it up of course. I often keep a bottle of water on me just in case in needs a bit of flushing!

What about a cheap wildlife motion detection camera's. Maplins do one for £99.99 and there are some cheaper on the web. Might be expensive but they are designed for the job. failing that there is an Instructables build here.

I used a webcam to put a stop to some overnight thieving in our office, it is movement activated so only records when something is going on. It would look like a satnav on your dashboard and could be powered and run from an old laptop hidden on the seat.

I'd have thought you were quite likely to get your car window smashed if someone thinks they can nick a satnav from the dashboard! I hate dog poo more than most, but I also like the glass on my car how it is.

Looking at the replies, I guess it depends whether you primarily want to catch the perpetrator unaware and get them a big fine, or whether you'd be content if they were just deterred, maybe by seeing you watching them from the car on a stakeout. I sense it may be the former.

Someone on a neighbouring street once stuck up their own warnings on a lampost, saying that they had set up a camera. You'd think that alone would make a dog owner choose another part of the street and would be a cheap option if you're happy just with deterring them. I've seen sprayed warnings on pavements too, where someone has clearly made a template first, then quickly dashed out and sprayed some paint like some sort of poo-fearing Banksy.

Well done to robsan77 for washing the dregs away! Very few seem to do that, knowing that their main effort has probably covered their back technically. There's often still enough left for kids to tread in.

I hate fouling and always cleared up after the old dog. Not so long ago he made a right mess on the pavement outside a neighbor's house (not someone I knew) so I cleared it up took him home and came back with a bucket of water and a brush.

Got a new puppy now who pebbledashed the lounge wall this morning
