Hi its a bulldog master brewer about 16 months old

It’s a button with a spring my guess part of a non return valve.

It's a Thingumajig that screws into the Watzitt and holds the Oodjamaflip up against the Owzyerfather.

I've had a look at the Master Brewer specs and I think it might have nothing to do with it. Where else it could have come from is anybody's guess. Why not run the system with just water and see what happens.

That spring doesn't look as if it could withstand anything corrosive, and the plastics looks very naff.

Well I've run the pump with cold water and it works great. Cold out now tho! Thanks everyone

Looks a bit like the end of an autosyphon with a spring on it, which as earlier poster said suggests some sort of valve
