anyone know anything about this beer, brewed in 92. 14%

i may have more than one

not tonight...

i struggle to drink beer over 6% and only if it has tons of hops, i suspect this wont be to hopppy

So if we don't see SC for a while, it didn't go down too well

At 14% it might act more like a wine with age than a beer (i.e. not go off, maybe even get better). Sounds awesome though.

If my guess is right and the world record it claims is the strongest beer in the world, that's long since been lost, even if you do want to argue that only natural fermentation makes a beer.

i dont think it was ever the strongest beer in the world, just claimed to be.
I got 50 bottles of this stuff what shall i do with it?????????????????????????
is there such a thing as old beer colectors?

ollie

Check it's ok first. If it is either drink it or give it to someone who will. If not bin it.

Having a quick look online, I found this:

Samichlaus Beer is the strongest lager beer in the world and also known as "Santa Claus Beer".

Samichlaus Beer is brewed only once a year on December 6 and aged for 10 months before bottling. This beer is perhaps the rarest in the world.
Samichlaus may be aged for many years to come. Older vintages become more complex with a creamy warming finish. Serve with hardy robust dishes and desserts, particulary with chocolates, or as an after dinner drink by itself.

If you don't want them, pass em over here. I'll take em off your hands. Sure the in law will enjoy sampling some of these with me! Lol

It is possible to recover the yeast from the bottle . . . and it is the primary strain :thumb:

Like any well produced strong beer, that has aged well, it won't taste like beer, but like a really plummy wine. . . .Nice beer IIRC
