Just for a laugh I thought I would ask the question... most people seem to associate home brewing beer/ale with bearded gentleman. So do you sport a fuzzy face? Let's pretend this is really important scientific information... ;)

I for one do sport a beard. :D

Bearded Beer Research Scientist

somewhat hairy. shave it when it does my head in. i'm a gardener too, and I've started a growing interest in folk music...no socks and sandals yet though...

clean shaven here when i can be bothered , ex rocker , drive a van , carpenter . no pipe , no beard and no beer belly (although i did sport 1 for around 6 months last year ) oh and no cap either.

I have a cardigan and according to Mrs KC "a bloody awful" taste in music, personally I think it's eclectic!!

Not-a-hairy-chops, except on long weekends when I really can't be bothered...

...folk music? Yes please! Sandals and socks? Never! Beer belly? Keeping it at bay. No pipe, slippers? Gotta be proper moccasins, none of this plastic sole nonsense!

I have a hairy face, I have an allotment, I love camping and the outdoors and I have a full amateur radio licence.

I think I probably fit the stereotype?

And no, I don't own a pair of sandals, however, I do own a pair of vans, several Adidas originals, wear designer suits occasionally and like to look snappy.

I also like probably every type of music from Folk, Classical, R&B, Country, Jazz/Blues, Rock and so on all the way through to Pop. I even appreciate some rap. I'm not a fan of modern dance music, otherwise, I'm game.

Oh and I quit cigars and roll-ups when they banned it in pubs (1st July 2007)

beard 4 me or a goatee, folk music some, like Christy Moore or Kathryn Trickle band. No sandals but flips ok, no pipe but cigars or rollies

Haha! Loving the replies so far, glad to see you have expanded on the steroetype checklist. :thumb:

Interesting results so far, all very important data, I may need to collate this!

I fit the stereo type pretty exactly, all apart from the beard though, I love music none of my friends like, I'm happiest when sat next to the loch with a beer and a fishing rod, I love to bust bunnies and other small game, I like growing my own veg and making big hearty game dishes, i like working with wood making benches and stools and all sorts really and of course I love making my beer, my shoe of choice in an urban setting is one of my many pair of trainers (got to be addidas) but when in the gardens or out in the country it's my big army boots and combats.

I don't think I do.

No beard (I do have "lazy can't be bothered shaving" stubble though)
No Sandles
No Folk Music (Everything else is pretty much a hit for me though, other than boy-bands eurghh)
No checked shirts
No Brown trousers

However..

Beer Belly = Check (More to do with being a greedy big **** though)

Beard- check always some sort of beard or another
Saddles - nope but own many pairs of flip flops
Music- mostly rock punk ska and heavy metal
Will be digging the shorts out of the wardrobe in the next few days
Wear airwalks or converse all stars
Cardigan- yes but it is from salt rock
Happiest with a bit of home brew and time team on the tv :thumb:

Not sure i fit a stereotype but might just add to it

beard no
sandals some times ..
as and when i have toe nails removed /4 up to now ...
all kinds of music including folk/ yes

beer belly /yes..
working on getting rid of this but no success as yet...

regards mick... :hat: .

Beard? No. Stubble? Certainly! Lazy shaver, once a week. Last had a beard about 11 years ago although the stubble is often longer than the (lack of) hair on my head! I've been shaving my head since I lost my mohecian 23 years ago.
Sandals? Check - but not for everyday use, only for the beach and NEVER with socks. I prefer my DMs or my converse.
Music? Old punk at heart but keen on anything that stands the test of time except classical/opera - I just don't get it.
Beer belly? Yup. I guess that's what caused it...
Rollies, no cigars.

Beard - No
Sandals - No . . . Unless Crocs Count . . .I also do a nice line in pink pumps
Music - Love Metal/classic Rock, but pretty eclectic apart from modern RnB dub rap stuff
Oh and I'd rather shove forks in my ears that listen to folk music
Beer Belly - I can suck it in with the best of them ;)
NO CARDIGANS!!!
No Beige either

Beard - Yes out of laziness its just extreme stubble.
Sandals - Never, trainers all the way.
Folk Music - Passively
Belly - Nope, my bike keeps that away
Smoking - Nope
Collecting - Not me

Brewing for me is just another outlet as I just like making things. Be it art, photography, growing veg, woodwork, cooking, brewing or anything else you just can't beat that "I've just made that" feeling.

Stubble when I can't be bothered but then it feels so good when I shave with double edge razor thanks to this forum.

No beer belly yet but can get over enthusiastic With weekend beer consumption yet again thanks to this forum but walking dog and gym keep it off.

Love everything from Ray Charles to Motörhead and yes like a bit of folk thanks to Mike Harding on radio 2 whilst driving home last year! Love ripping into no direction, much to daughters disgust

Sandals? My kids would kill me , in fact I might get some to wear with white socks just to embarrass them ;)

Smoking : left that in the late 80's with my hair.

Collecting : only bottles and the kids when they need dad cabs .

Still love star wars, old english spangles, marathons,Italian job,2000AD the smell of "proper" pubs etc, etc!

Beard - hmm only for about 30 years
Sandals - NEVER :nah:
Cardy - NEVER
Smoke - NEVER
Folk music - can listen to it same as jazz
Beer belly - yep for a long time, but not to extent of "where have my feet gone"
Collecting - nope apart from computers

Ham radio - was one for about 20 years, not been active for about 10 now. (GM1JLP was/is my callsign)
