Hi, I'm Susanna and I'm a third generation winemaker.
Three years ago I decided to give up as I was finding it hard to lift the 5 gall fermenting bins. So I gave all my equipment away.šŸ˜¢
But having discovered lightweight PET demijohns I've dived back in at the age of 74 and decided to stick to single gallons!
Underway now - a Fig & Rosehip sherry, Mead & a Seville Orange Aperitif.

Bravo Susanna. Makes good sense to make one gallon batches as you can make lots of different wines.
Hope you're paying loads for your demijohns, 5 litre water empties from Tesco or wherever are just as good.

Yes I have discovered these!
