I think Trump cynically discouraged Republicans from postal voting because he knew he would get an early lead. This was deliberate so that when he lost the lead as postal votes were counted, he could claim fraud. He telegraphed this plan throughout his term

You have to vote with ID in northern Ireland. Passport or driving license.

But a postal ballot is sent to your address and has your name on it. It has to be signed so they can match your signature. It is more secure than in-person voting.

Yes, exactly this. That's what I was taught at school and what we all should be doing. Don't buy the same newspaper every day, read those you despise as well, it's up to the individual to work out balance. Don't trust what you read in a newspaper.

I haven't bought a newspaper for 10 years. UK paparazzi and journalists are the scum of the earth!
They are a dying breed, I am happy to say. The next generation get all their news online from a variety of sources and newspapers are becoming and will become a thing of the past. Good riddance!

I don't follow it that closely but did spot one of the lads in the Capitol building with a Confederate flag. So I did have a read of some of the history and bloomin eck .The middle parts of America are about 200 hundred years behind Western Europe in terms of social evolution.
