Glad to hear she returned safely!
My misses is a cat lover, I'm a dog lover, so when we got out house last year we compromised and got a couple of kittens. We have only lived here since august and 3 cats have gone missing so we have decided to keep them indoors. They don't know any different as they have never been outside, lots of toys and seem happy. Just don't want to go through the pain of them going missing.
An ex of mine, her landlord had 2 cats and they would go missing for 2 weeks at a time but always returned safe and sound. He did live next to a mini forest though.

Glad shes back. Mine goes out every night and stays out unless really cold - i generally find her in my greenhouse i have on the roof. She was born feral but is top cat now. Lost a few to road kill and poison in the past but still got 6 now lol good ratters which we need in our area but all the adults tend to wander for days at a time. We had a 2 month old baby kitt went missing for 9 days before i found him drenched in a ditch but he's fine now. :
