Has anyone used anything different with sucess,
Has anyone used anything different with sucess,
I just used a cheap one from screw fix can’t remember the brand. Had one fail on me and the second one has lasted for ages. It’s quite a humid environment so I can’t imagine they will last that long and the heater is off and on constantly when I’m use so it’s not ideal operating conditions I don’t think. Maybe open your temperature range on the inkbird (or your equivalent) so it’s not on and off so frequently. I noticed buying a fermenter with a thermowell makes a big differenceThe tube heater in my fermentation fridge has just died 10 days out of warranty.

Its probably a Dimplex one, they are the cheapest ones in screwfix and Toolstation.
Just had 2 thermowells delivered so going to fit one in my fermenter though I usually have the temp probe under a foam pad taped to side of fermenter
I've had no problems with Dimplex heaters, but.... These things should last longer than one year. Chat with the retailer that sold you it; they should recognise that its failed early and offer you a graduated refund.
