Digiboil 65L kettle - Any feedback?

Hi all,

i have a 70l electric kettle with 2 x 2.4kw elements that require two cables running from seperate sockets.

i've been using that kettle for about 3 years but at the end of last year, the plugs melted and caught fire mid brew day.

i've switched the cables out now and that problem seems to have gone away but i saw a guy on YouTube that's invested in a 35l digiboil. they do a 65l one as well and he says that you can use it as a brew kettle.

i like this for 2 reasons:

1) no difficult elements to clean

2) one plug

Has anyone got one of these and if so, what do you think? do you use it as a kettle?

i can only see one downside: no sight glass.

Never seen one but the spec says its only 2Kw so will take ages to heat up compared to what you have

The 65L is 3.5kw I think. Still I'd want a bit more I think

I would love the thermostat control and digital display... I can pick one up on Ali-Express for quite cheap. Last time I looked it was £107 but by the time you buy from a seller it's at least £180

It's also 65l to brim which just isn't quite enough for me
