Hey, I made the fiery ginger beer about 5 days ago, I made a mistake and pitched the (wine) yeast too soon when the water was still hot, I thought I had ruined it but shortly after it was fizzing and bubbling and has been since.
Today I took the lemons and other bits floating on the top heard others said they take them out, anyway my Hydrometer reads 1.060 (I took no reading before I pitched the yeast, as never intended pitching it early), does this mean it's basically ruined? It actually tastes good but will it be non-alcoholic (does taste alcoholic though) and is it worth adding more yeast?
I am not usually as blasé but seeing as it's not real beer I was being a bit slack, it's all part of the learning curve I suppose.
Thanks.
