Me too. I think the conservatives are getting complacent and taking their core voters for granted. It wasnt so long ago they were attacking the self employed, now pensioners(obviously ran out of disabled people to bash). How long will it be till people realize the conservatives talk a good game but their really only interested in themselves and the the very rich

But hopefully not well enough to form the next government, to put a balance on this debate which seems to have been a bit one sided.
If the Labour party in its present form get in you all better be braced for
-significantly higher taxes to pay for the promised revolution cos the bankers, and businesses are not bottomless money pits
- increased power for the Labour Party's paymaster unions and we all know what that means, especially those who survived the three day week in the 70s and those who have had months of grief on disputes over 'safety' concerning the withdrawal of guards on trains.
- a wooly Brexit
- continued barely controlled immigration cos to control it will cost them votes in the future

I think this applies to both parties and I bet a lot of people who normally vote Conservative were happy at the prospect of a huge Conservative majority and were quite shocked by the Dementia tax. Instead of thinking what can we do with this massive majority to help the people of Britain. She and her inner cabal thought were going to get a massive majority, so we can do what we like. Including screwing over the people who usually vote for us.

Im with you on this terry whoever wins, I would prefer it with a very slim majority to keep the Government in power 'honest'

i don't normally bother with any politics and i tend to skim over the bullet points of both but this time there there is only one thing i noticed and that is labour has a mad plan to spend billions (if there maths is right this time:) ) and they want to pay for this by sticking a load into corporation tax...

i know that the small company i work for is having a hard time and another increase in that will hurt so that may be the vote swayer for me as i would prefer to continue having a job, that's were it stops for me.

If I was the Tory party I'd be furious with my campaign managers; they seem to be lurching from one PR disaster to the next which is not really something you want to do in the run-up to an election!

#11 is the 'Duck Bill' the soft rubber one way valve that lets co2 in but not out of the keg, the removal of the co2 connecting fitting should release it and then it will vent the co2.

The thing is though that the country as a whole has a huge problem looming in the shape of elderly care not just "dementia tax". A care home for just 1 person can cost upwards in the region of 3 GRAND a WEEK for some of the most specialised care, that bill is unaffordable for 99% of the population which means the taxpayer foots the bill almost in its entirety.

I think that the conservatives are right in bringing this to the fore and as someone who works in the sector and see's maybe upwards of 60 referrals a month from a health board for services we as a charity provide to help them out then there are huge basic flaws in the whole system from constant mismanagement and under funding.

The money has to come from somewhere and my thoughts on it would be that we work to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle and some peace of mind in retirement, sorry kids but once you hit 18 you have our support but you have two feet of your own.
